Never underestimate the significance of a seemingly small, cute or otherwise non-threatening creature. Achilles and Golaith come to mind.

My intent was to use these figures to personify indomitability and vulnerability.
Sorry to confuse...now that you mention it, Achilles vs. Goliath does kind of have that Hollywood ring to it.
